Join us for a screening of La Orquestra by filmmakers Monica Villavicencio and Stephanie Liu.

A sought-after music teacher and conductor, Juana Alzaga sets out to create Georgia’s first youth orchestra for immigrant families. For most, this is their only opportunity for music education. La Orquesta follows Juana and her orchestra over the course of one school year as they navigate health challenges and increasing hostility toward immigrants, finding solace in music. Co-produced by Latino Public Broadcasting.

Crafter's Make & Take: Ornaments

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 5TH | 6-9PM | FREE RSVP

First we Make! Each month’s gathering will feature a theme. Bring your own supplies to complete two handmade items in whatever medium you would like.


Then we Take! At the end of the gathering anyone who would like to give away their two handmade items can also select two items that another crafter has completed to take home!* Observe and learn from other crafters. Share tips, tricks, and supplies. Leave with something beautiful. Some communal supplies will be available at each gathering.


*Worried about finishing two pieces in time to give them away? Just bring two items you have already made to give.


This event is free and open to all (ages 18+). Donations to Dandelion are welcome!
